Here's another new one from the DJI Inspire 2/X7 over the San Juan Mountains in Colorado! Heading back out to teach workshops this weekend and next. Can't wait!
Here is a fairly unphotographed spot on Lofoten that I love! I'm finding that many of my favorite spots that were completely un-iconic when I shot them serveral years ago, have now been shot quite a lot. So nice to still have a few images I don't often see:)
It's great to be back home shooting in CO! This is an image from a couple years ago that I've never shared to shown to anyone. New images on the way!
Colorado has been pretty stunning this summer! We had a ton of snow over the winter that turned into lush green and flowers everywhere. Not sure if I've ever seen so many wildflowers!! New images from the Wind River Range coming soon...
Headed back into the Wind River Range early tomorrow morning! As always, can't wait to get out there again. Cheating on this trip and going by horseback... best way to go.
@albertdrosphotography has been making me think about and miss Kyrgyzstan lately. Here's one from my trip there a while back.
Here's another brand new image from Norway! I have been wanting to get this fall in epic light for years, and have been waiting to share an image of it until I got it... well, I didn't get epic, but finally at least got some "good" light for this scene so here it is.
Flying over Greenland a couple days ago was epic. Yep, just a commercial flight! I went to the back of the plane for about an hour and watched/shot through the windows. Felt like I was getting an experience that people would literally pay thousands of dollars to have - for free (seeing one of the most incredible places on earth from 40,000ft!!) and the other 300 people on the plane slept through it like always... nope, not the best pics ever, but just wanted to share the experience:)
Just got home from another trip to Senja, Norway to teach a photo workshop. Might be my favorite place on earth when it comes to landscapes. Of course, most photos don't really do it justice, but it's sure fun to try.
Colorado is as stunning as anywhere on earth, but I sometimes find it hard to show that beauty. In this case, I really feel like all the elements that make it incredible came together. It took 4-wheeling to where the snow closed the road, throwing the drone in a backpack and hiking, and then flying to get this perspective. I was able to stay very close the ridge so 100% legal and safe.
Super excited to be back home shooting in Colorado!! It took quite a few attempts to get this one with both snow and light.
Some cool earth in Iceland from the sky. @djiglobal Inspire 2.
One of my favorites from the last trip to Iceland! Looks way better bigger, posted horizontal in stories as well.
Here's a less well known lagoon in Iceland that you can have all to yourself during the midnight sun. I have been hearing people complaining lately about Iceland being too crowded. It makes me chuckle a little every time. I honestly can't even remember the last time I saw another photographer while out shooting, much less a group of people. 99% of the country is completely empty, especially at night, with a million tourists crowded at a few main waterfalls and hot spots...
Brand new from Canada!! @nicoletgo and I are in the middle of a pretty crazy series of trips and workshops right now. From Colorado to Wyoming to Banff to Iceland and back again with basically no time in between (thanks to everyone who has joined us along the way!). So many new images to process! Trying to work on a few of the favorites including this one.
Here's another new one from Iceland with the little Mavic 2 Pro. This was one of most fun drone flights I have taken. This area was just so cool and photogenic! I almost never print my images for myself, but this one is going on the wall! Wish I would have taken the Inspire up instead, but the Mavic does a pretty good job in even light.
While I find myself shooting with the drone more and more these days, I did actually bring my Sony to Iceland as well:) This is a little known fall that I couldn't find any serious images of.
Here's a brand new one from Iceland! Not strechted, those peaks are just crazy jagged. 2 shot pano with the @djiglobal Inspire 2/X7 and the 16mm lens. I needed every bit of the X7's 14 stops of DR for this even shooting in AEB (basically bracketed) mode for both images. Drive + hike + fly to get this perspective. #iceland #drone #landscapephotography
