The Fire Wave at Valley of Fire State Park is much smaller than The Wave near Page, Arizona. But it doesn't require a permit to see it, and the hike is quick and easy. In contrast, only 20 people a day are granted access to the Arizonian Wave, and it requires several miles of hiking (with no trail markers or GPS) to get to it. Both are stunning, tangible examples of the concept of time and change. Both are worth a visit. Both are worth protecting. 💚
