Condividete nelle storie 😍.
Celebrating 50 years from landing on the Moon 🌓 I decided to share this old work, a detail of the lunar surface where I show the point where they landed and also the point (much more or less) where there is the famous flag (remember that impossible show the flag with amateur tools, think that a pixel of this image is large km on a scale 😅 but this is the area). Share in stories 😍.

Milky Way over Suttle Lake, Deschutes National Forest, Oregon, 2019.
I've never seen stars so bright. I've never been able to get this level of color depth on any of my attempts at the milky way. There are no words to describe beauty of the night sky out west that serve it justice. There's are also no other lodge or other place to stay in this national forest, which was a blessing in night pollution. More photos to come, just had to share.

GOING HOME AGAIN

It should have been a simple night climb to get some nice shots of the Milky Way on top of a summit near to my home. We had to climb through a via Ferrata and guess what...as we finished the Ferrata, clouds began rolling in an the Milky Way was gone. Hmm, bad day I thought. But after our descent we could realise that the clouds where blown away by a slight wind and the sky opened the view trough out some trees at the exit of the Ferrata. Look at that beautiful core view in a kind of unreal foreground.

Canon EOS R
Canon 16-35mm L iii
Foreground 1x10s f11 ISO 1600
Sky 10x30s f4 ISO10.000
Tracked with Omegon Mini Tracker

It is currently one of my favorite weeks here at the South Pole!! Polympic Week!! 🇦🇶🥇❄️
—————————————
The Polympic week is probably one of the most fun weeks of the entire season, for so many reasons. First of all, it’s just fun, considering that every single day of the week is filled with events that are relevant to the people on station. For example, there is a group of people that play volleyball weekly, so therefore volleyball is one of the events. And on the other side of the spectrum, there is a strategy video game that has become really popular, so that’s an event as well. The second big reason that I love this week so much is that it really brings the station together in ways that other things don’t. Pretty much every event has spectators and some heckling, which just leads to a great time for all. So far, I’ve managed to get three medals (yes we actually make physical medals for this 😝), but I’m hopeful to get at least another one or two! I guess we’ll find out on Sunday during the closing ceremonies! 🙌
I will be honest and say that this is also one of the craziest weeks of the season, so making a huge video was going to be really difficult. HOWEVER, I did remember that I wanted to show you all something really cool that we made during the midwinter time! So if you want to see a bit more of the South Pole Station and what we’re all about, check out my NEW VIDEO on my channel! Link, as always, is in the bio! ☺️
