The Columbia River gorge - that plume of water vapour is (surprisingly) from a smelter and refinery for metals. Weirdly it also produced the heavy water used in the first atom bomb. #longexposure with #nisifilters

WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE BLACK & WHITE? Let us know in the comments section below!

Until photographers get comfortable with creating their own black and whites using color channel mixing in Lightroom CC, I often encourage them to try out the Black and White Profile options. This gives them a sense of what they can look out for in future monochrome looks.
There many more than four options in Lightroom, so I just chose the first four for this post.
I took this photo with my new Fujifilm X-T30 of the Confederation Bridge linking New Brunswick with Prince Edward Island. This stunning bridge begs for a dramatic black and white treatment! I bought the X-T30 as a backup camera body for my X-Pro2, but I’m quickly seeing just how amazing this prosumer camera really is.

Let us hear your thoughts below, and try out these Profiles yourself with the free and paid version of the Lightroom CC mobile app.

Camera specs: #fujifilm #xt30 with a #xf50140mm lens at #confederationbridge in #princeedwardisland #canada - Shutter Speed 1/250, ISO 160, Aperture f5.6 No tripod, although I should have had my tripod! If so I would have used f8 or f11.
